Benefits of Joining EMI

What your membership brings you -

-  Reduced Journal Subscription:

The Journal of Engineering Mechanics, ASCE, is a high impact, international journal that is one of the most valuable assets of the EMI. It has one of the largest circulations of all mechanics journals and it scores very well in number of citations. Its authorship and subscriptions are worldwide. It is another valuable asset of the EMI. Members of the EMI will be able to subscribe to the Journal at reduced Member rates.

- Reduced Rates for conferences, workshops, seminars, publications:

The EMI will be a natural source of short courses on new and emerging fields, since engineering mechanics is the common scientific base for a large number of fields in Civil Engineering and other science/engineering disciplines.   As a natural extension of these continuing education activities, publications that summarize the recent development of science and technology can be generated either directly based on the workshop effort, or independent from it. EMD technical committees in the past have generated committee-edited specialty books with ASCE Publications, and these efforts will be continued and enhanced.

- Technical Contributions

Membership in the EMI provides you with numerous opportunities to network with your peers, sharpen your skills, expand your knowledge, and ensure your professional and personal growth. A great way to do this is to serve on one of our numerous technical committees, where your contributions to the field of Engineering Mechanics, would be invaluable.
