Structural Health Monitoring and Control

Purpose: To cover the broad areas of engineering mechanics related to (1) Structural Health Monitoring, (2) System identification, (3) Damage detection, (4) Fault isolation and detection, (5) Sensor networks, new forms of actuation, (6) Smart materials and structures, and (7) Passive, active, semi-active and hybrid structural control. The activities would engage the national and international researchers and practitioners in the broad fields of structural health monitoring and control. Furthermore, the committee will encourage and foster research that will, in the future, support the implementation of structural health monitoring and structural control in practice.
